June 6th Return to Play (RTP) Weekly Update

Dear BRYC Elite Academy Families,

We trust you are continuing to stay safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.  We recognize everyone is anxious to “return to play” but this is still not possible while we remain under Phase I regulations.

Our fields, while open, are unpermitted meaning we have no control over their use which introduces unnecessary risk to our membership.  As a result, all BRYC Elite Academy sponsored practices, games, and activities will remain suspended for the safety and security of all our players, families, and staff.

There is reason for optimism as portions of Virginia are entering Phase 2 this weekend.  Northern Virginia should not be far behind.  Once Fairfax County enters Phase 2, we have confirmed with the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (NCS) that permits will be reissued to clubs.  This will represent a major milestone in our efforts to return to play.

In the meantime, BRYC Elite Academy continues to work on finalizing the protocols we must have in place prior to "return to play".  Once these protocols have been approved by the BRYC BODs, we will distribute directly to the membership.  We anticipate this to occur on or before June 10.  Once published, we will need everyone's support in adhering to and enforcing the protocols and guidelines when we "return to play".

For the foreseeable future, you can expect weekly updates from the club as we progress through the “return to play” phases..  We are also planning a couple of virtual town halls where we will present updates about the upcoming seasonal year, including ECNL, and our "return to play" approach.  Stay tuned for more details.

Please continue to enjoy this time with your family and stay safe. We thank you for your patience during this time, but as always, our first concern is the safety and well-being of our community and BRYC Elite families.
