FAIRFAX, Va - Braddock Road Stars Elite are excited to announce the return of five forwards for the 2015 campaign: Kahla Seymour, Dakota Stephens, Katherine Bukovsky, Maire Shine, and Olivia Fiegel.  The Stars Elite have also added forward Christiana Meyers.  All six players have played for the BRYC Elite Academy under head coach Larry Best.

Seymour and Stephens both gained valuable experience playing in the ACC, arguably the best women’s soccer conference in the country.

Seymour played in 11 games in her first year at Wake Forest University despite battling injuries throughout the season.  The Vienna, VA native played in six games last season for the Stars Elite and added an assist on Marisa Park’s goal against the Washington Spirit Reserves.

As a freshman at North Carolina State University, Stephens appeared in six games.  In her lone appearance for Braddock Road in 2014, the forward scored the game-tying goal against the New Jersey Wildcats.  The Stars Elite went on to win 4-3.

Bukovsky made 19 appearances for James Madison University in the fall and scored her first collegiate goal in the Dukes win over Towson.  She played in four games for the Stars Elite last season.

Shine, who started at the College of William and Mary in January, had an impressive first season in the W-League playing in 11 games and adding three goals.  The forward had her first multi-goal game when she scored two goals against North Jersey in a crucial late season win.

“I am looking forward to my second season in the W-League this summer,” said Shine. “Playing for Braddock Road against quality opponents will be a great opportunity to prepare for my first fall season with William and Mary.”

Fiegel and Meyers both currently play on the BRYC ’96 Elite team.  Fiegel has committed to the University of Iowa.   The high school junior played in eight games last season for the Stars Elite.  Meyers was part of the BRYC ’95 Elite group that won the 2012 USYS National Championship and will be playing her college soccer at the University of Mary Washington this fall.  Fiegel and Meyers will see time for both the W-League and Braddock Road W-20 team this summer.

The Stars Elite season opener is Friday, May 15 at 8 p.m. in West Carrollton, Ohio against the Dayton Dutch Lions.  Fans can follow the Braddock Road Twitter (@BRStarselite) for more updates.
