Cindi Harkes Inducted into the VA DC Hall of Fame!

BRYC’s own Cindi Harkes was inducted into the VA DC Hall of Fame yesterday at the VYSA Workshop in Richmond, Virginia.  She was inducted under the Player category.  

Cindi Kunihiro Harkes played with the Braddock Road Youth Club from U8 to U19.  Her team (BRYC Galaxy) was VA State Cup Champ for three of those years.  She was a member of the State and Regional U12, U14, U16 and U19 ODP Teams and was named to the U19 Youth National Team.  she was a four year starter at WT Woodson HS, made All-Met the last three years, and was named Woodson "Athlete of the Year" her senior year.  Cindi was a four year Varsity starter at the University of Virginia where she made the All-ACC team for three years and was an NCAA Academic All-American.  She played overseas with the Sheffield Wednesday Ladies and the Stanton Rangers.  Cindy played professionally with the National Champions Maryland Pride and won three USASA National Championship titles with her club team, SA United.  Cindi, is co-founder of the TeamHarkes Soccer School for Girls summer camps.

She joins the following BRYC alumni in the VA DC Hall of Fame:
