On July 31st, the 01 Elite Girls faced off against the PSG MI Gators 02 Orange -- making for a climatic U14 Finals match at the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Despite their fantastic play, the Elite ended up falling to the defending champions 0 - 1, and settled for the 2nd place win in the tournament.

However, this result is still to be celebrated! The girls fought tooth and nail to reach this far in the bracket, and their efforts deserve to be commended. Their hard work showed in their play, and even though they didn't come home with the 1st place trophy, they displayed their prowess on the field. 

Congratulations to the 01 Elite for their 2nd place finish! There is always a next year!
